Western Credit Union has been meeting the
changing financial needs of Members since 1954.

Originally organized to serve employees of the General Motors Ternstedt plant in Columbus, Ohio, Western is now one of Central Ohio's largest credit unions.

We:

  • Are a full service, state-chartered financial institution guided by this mission statement: "To build lifelong relationships by providing trusted financial solutions".
  • Serve the financial needs of more than 15,000 Members whose Membership eligibility is defined by employment, association, community or family relationship.
  • Are looked to as the "employee credit union" of more than 400 companies and organizations in the Central Ohio area.
  • Effectively serve Members who access us from a distance through an increasing variety of electronic financial services, including debit cards, ATMs, 24-hour audio response systems, and free online banking.
  • Protect Members by insuring their money above NCUA limits through additional Excess Share Insurance (up to a total of $350,000).
  • Located at 750 Georgesville Road, convenient to I-270 and just minutes away from most Columbus and suburban locations. Our main office features both lobby and drive-thru convenience
